Pitchfork has the latest on Love Is All’s third album titled Two Thousand and Ten Injuries which now finds the Swedes on new label Polyvinyl. It’s currently set to be released on March 23, with complete details in the previous link from Pitchfork.

A downloadable track called “Kungen” has also been made available, which I’m almost thankful to be listening to now since I’m just a lumbering mess right now (even though it’s currently 2:30 in the afternoon).

Listening to nearly every song in the band’s catalog feels like it is constantly teetering on the edge towards a complete meltdown — “Kungen” is no different — but somehow manages to reign everything in at the right moments.

This is a bright pop track, but not acerbic. The chorus is reminiscent of a Beach Boys hook. The singer evokes a pretty melody that she twists with her cute accent. It’s a fun song; I love it. Thank you for turning me on to this.
