You’re probably going to see this one mentioned everywhere today, but considering I haven’t posted anything on this lovely Friday afternoon, I might as well jump in head first with everyone else. Earlier today on the Asthmatic Kitty sidebar blog, Sufjan Stevens mused on his time as a young, naive college kid and a rather humorous story on how his parents gave him the option to change his name so he wouldn’t be taunted and bullied at school.
Another story followed where he mentioned writing a number of different songs in college, which included songs for the days of the week and various “name songs” with one in particular about Sofia Coppola, his “imaginary confidant.” That song has been unearthed and posted for all of us to listen to.
