Since I was away at SXSW over the past week and a half, you may have noticed the lack of updates with The Daily Graboid. To make up for this, I’m going to put up both last week’s and this week’s releases at some point today. You can expect this week’s releases to be up later in the afternoon, but for now here are the releases for the week of 3/17.

correct me if i’m wrong, but i haven’t seen any mention of the band The Antlers on TYS. i think you guys would love them. check out those first 3 songs on their myspace playlist.

they have a similar asthetic to beach house (who they covered, and who i know you guys like). i don’t really know if that sound has a tag or genre. their album release earlier this month, Hospice, is really, really special. if you like it, you can go to their website and find the lyrics, which are absolutely haunting and heartbreaking. the whole album is about a nurse who becomes attached to a child at the hospital who is doomed to die but cannot let go of her. i hope you guys like it!
