When I first came across this email with Maia Hirasawa in the subject line, I couldn’t help but be a little excited as I thought I was going to be reading about news of an upcoming album or something along those lines. Unfortunately, it wasn’t any kind of news of that nature, but this is still worth mentioning! Thrive Records is set to be releasing the swedish sweetheart’s debut album Though, I’m Just Me, which was originally released last year in Scandinavia on Razzia Records, here in the US on February 17.
Here’s the first single off the album, “And I Found This Boy,” which I can’t help but use what I previously said about the song when I posted on this last year. I heard Maia Hirasawa on PRI’s The World podcast. She’s awesome! I really like her song “Gothenburg”, because it reminds me of the city where I went to college.
