I’ve yet to hear a bad record from of Montreal, and with Skeletal Lamping I expect to be listening to this one for many months to come. Have you seen all of the different packaging formats for this release? CD, LP, tote bags, button set, t-shirts, “wall clings,” and “lantern wall clings” – holy crap – it’s throwing in the kitchen sink and than some. Personally, I love this new direction and I think it’s creative way to try and sell your product to people. Give’em something new, ya know?
Lots of other great releases this week as well from the likes of The Sea And Cake, The Dears, White Hinterland, and +/-. Really looking forward to Sea And Cake, and has anyone heard that Dears album? Kinda flew under the radar as far as I know. I think I have a promo cd of it somewhere in this huge mess of cds that I haven’t touched in months.
