Last week a new Watchmen trailer made its debut on some lame Spike TV award show, but the youtube footage was of terrible quality and wasn’t really worth posting about. That being said, the trailer has been released in glorious quicktime and here it is just in case you happened to miss it. It’s basically very similar to the very first trailer, with many of the same shots played alongside that song from Smashing Pumpkins. Scattered throughout are some new scenes, like Nite Owl and Silk Spectre kissing in front of a mushroom cloud and Dr. Manhattan disassembling a tank (though the cg is a bit rough).
Changed ending or not, it’s obvious that Zach Snyder has nailed the visuals. I especially love the shot at the end of the bloody button slowly falling. Hopefully we’ll get to see some footage of actual dialogue exchanged soon, because that’s probably the next thing with what fans would like to see. Hit the link at the cut to watch the trailer.
Teaser poster, though? It’s a bit weak…
