Jeff Mangum makes surprise appearance at E6 Holiday Surprise Tour

I’m still trying to catch up on all of the recent news that i’ve missed, and coming into the weekend, the big surprise reveal came in the form of an appearance by Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum at the Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise Tour in New York City.  I’m sure everyone is well aware that the man doesn’t make many public appearances nowadays, so it’s always a welcome surprise to see him anywhere onstage.  Check out the video below (you can sorta see Jeff on the right in the red flannel) with Olivia Tremor Control performing “The Opera House,” along with some high-quality images and an article of the event over at Pitchfork.
