Over the past few years, this mix would always coincide with the very first day of Autumn. Obviously, I missed this one by a few weeks, but I wasn’t planning putting one together this year. I’m not sure why, but the season transition just hadn’t clicked with me at all, even though I had been anxiously awaiting this for months. That faint touch of cold weather, I dunno, it just brings me happiness like no other.
It wasn’t until early last night after walking around town, while listening to a few random songs, that I felt this sudden rush come over me. I attribute this to a song that came on, and everything just seemed to come together. Have you ever had that happened? You hear some random song, and it just completely works at that exact moment in time? I guess that was all I needed, because i’m currently staying up into the wee hours of the night putting this mix together. It’s safe to say that i’m now officially ready to embrace whatever this wonderful season brings.
Like i’ve said previous years, these are the kind of songs that I would want to be listening to during this season, and would be just as lovely if I were to walk around alone during some cool and quiet night. Hope you enjoy!

How coincidental!
I’ve recently put together an Autumn playlist, and I also have songs from Caribou, Sigur Rós, Beach House, Fleet Foxes, and 1/3 of Fridge (Adem is the perfect fall music, in my opinion).
