Over the summer I mentioned how Knut over at Eardrums released a wonderful digital Summer Compilation on his blog.  It was stacked to the brim with free & legal MP3s of indiepop goodness, and did I mention these were free?  Okay, just making sure!  Well, Knut has done it once again with “A Good Crop,” a brand new autumn compilation.  Only this time the number of songs were so staggering, that it was split into two separate volumes!

I’ve listened to the first two volumes already, and what I love about these is that i’m always discovering something new.  It almost seems like I’ve earned some kind of badge of honor when I actually do recognize a band or two.  From the tracklisting over on Knut’s blog, you’ll notice some very familiar names if you’ve read TYS lately including The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Afternoon Naps, Fanfarlo, The Lodger, The Lorimer Sound, and Sambassadeur just to name a few.  Do yourself a favor and download all of these now that all four volumes are now available.  Be nice and leave a comment too!  Here’s a couple of songs I ganked for all of you to sample below, as i’m sure you’ll be hearing about a lot these bands here sometime in the near future.

MP3: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart :: “Everything With You”
MP3: Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring :: “I Saw The Lights Go Out”
MP3: Fanfarlo :: “Harold T. Wilkins”
