After last week’s avalanche of new releases, we (thankfully) have a very short list of new stuff to take a look at this week.  The big album this week, The Verve’s so cleverly titled fourth album, Forth, marks the first recording from the recently reunited band in over a decade.  I’m still a bit of a huge fan of the group, even of Richard Ashcroft’s disappointing attempt at a solo career, so I will definitely make sure to pick this up at some point.  I haven’t been too keen on the first couple of songs that had been made available to the public, which is why this record has dropped from being much of a priority to me.  That being said, positive buzz has been going around in regards to Forth, so i’m hoping to be surprised.

The Verve album is ok… there are a few tracks that are really good, and some that are not so good…
