Oh man, this post is coming LATE. I’ve honestly been meaning to post on this for the last two months, and I’m just getting around to it…
Anyways, you’d figure the homemade recordings of a guy that goes by From Bubblegum To Sky would be twee beyond all belief. But Mario Hernandez’s music is it’s own blend of one-man pop, with enough crunch to make things different and pop melodies galore. His latest album is titled A Soft Kill, and it’s a nice short batch of lo-fi indie pop, with most song clocking in at under three minutes. At times I was sort of reminded, probably because the high-pitched voice and lo-fi pop sound, of the Unicorns without as much crazy. In any case, it’s definitely worth checking out.
A Soft Kill is currently available on iTunes and eMusic.

ooh… fun!
I think posting things late has sort of become our m.o., and i don’t think anyone minds too much about that. At least, I hope no one does.
Thanks for these. I was curious about him.
