Dr. Dog is one of those bands that can go through the mine shafts of music and find some of those gold bits that people missed or forgot about years ago. Their last disc, We All Belong, took the sounds of the 60s and 70s and mixed them with noisy indie pop for some really great tunes. On July 22, they’re back with Fate, which finds them taking another stroll down through the sounds of yesterday. Like Midlake, these guys manage to sound old and new at the same time. This disc is a bit more mellow than the last, so it’s not as immediate, but even on the first listen I could hear this disc has some well-crafted pleasures waiting for anyone willing to listen. It’s definitely worth checking out… Enjoy!

You’re a dick. Spoil the end of the album for everybody. The overall listening experience is ruined for anybody who lets themselves hear My Friend. Just dont do it.
You got me. I usually post whatever track I feel will ruin the blog readers’ lives!
Pablo, you dick! DAMN.
Hey man, would you be so kind to take these down for at least 4 weeks? Maybe put up Old Ways in the mean time? Pretty please?
Weird how an old post got all controversial almost a month later…
Nice…I love it.
