[Contest] Win a signed poster + CD from South!

Once again, we’re bringing you another nice little contest, this time involving London-trio South. They’ve always been a highly underrated band in my opinion, since their great debut back in 2002 – which effortlessly blended Britpop with electronic ambience. I’ve yet to hear their recently released album, You Are Here, but I assume that it’s pretty solid from the few songs that I have actually heard. Anywho, the prize pack for one lucky winner will include a signed poster + signed copy of the new cd from the band. Just leave a comment if you’re interested, and i’ll pick a winner next week!

Love few songs I’ve heard of this new album. I’m really surprised this band hasn’t gotten more play. I’ve had “better things” in heavy rotation ever since you posted it a few weeks ago, would love to have the whole album.
I pretty much love anything from the UK. well, except maybe Winehouse.

Not wanting to be a smartarse here (after all, smartarses don’t win prizes) but South’s ‘great debut’ From Here On In was in 2000. Glad to hear the guys are still at it, I’m looking forward to this one.
Holy Chicopee Batman! I love South! In fact this morning it was “A Place In Displacement” that awoke me from my slumber. I know that’s not relevant but its great to hear someone else knows how underrated they are. And of course count me in for the contest!
Thanks for the correction. I couldn’t remember the release date off the top of my head so I checked over on amazon and it said 2002. I’m guessing that was the U.S. release date. Anyways, the debut is still really great, so whatever.
