Oh, Canada. Mythic land of my ancestors and indie rock- it’s basically the gift that keeps giving. One of the latest gifts is Cinderpop’s A Lesson In Science. The Vancouver band makes pop rock that draws inspiration from both the Beatles and crunchy indie rock, and the album see-saws between guitars and pianos, but stays bright and fun throughout. Elliott Smith comes to mind in the vocals and instrumentation, but it never sounds like his style of song (things are happier here). If you’re on the lookout for some catchy rock, A Lesson in Science is a good place to get a fix.

It just seems like it all just for fun and I hope it stays that way.
