Over the weekend I gave The Lodger’s upcoming album Life Is Sweet a spin, and couldn’t be more delighted with what I’ve heard. It’s the kind of English guitar pop that I crave, as it’s 100% full of bright and jangly songs that I find myself so instantly drawn to. The new album will be released May 19th on the great pop label Slumberland Records.
Check out the new single below for “The Good Old Days,” as it hits all the notes that a good pop song should. Melodic and catchy, along with vibrant vocals – seriously, what more do you want? If you like what you’re hearing, you might be interested in picking up the Leeds-lads’ debut album Grown-Ups, that was released last year.
