Ah… Sweden. To those who love indie pop, the very word brings to mind carefree, sweet melodies. Continuing this great trend is Jonna Lee, a singer-songwriter whose pop makes me imagine a crisp spring morning in Stockholm (which is probably nothing like a real morning in Stockholm, but hey, this American mind can imagine!). On her debut ablum, 10 Pieces, 10 Bruises, Pianos and acoustic guitars float along, and Jonna’s voice fits right in with the gentle pop; her voice has a breathy quality that really makes the gentler moments of the disc. Sadly, the album hasn’t had an American release yet, but you can get it through Razzia Records. It would be nice for her to get some American fans, so check her out… it’s really good stuff. Anyone who loves solid pop music would do themselves a favor to pick this one up.

Here are a couple of tracks off of 10 Pieces, 10 Bruises, as well as her great acoustic cover of the Postal Service’s “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight.”
