The guys from Grizzly Bear made an appearance last night on Conan O’Brien – which I intended to watch, but soon forgot about it as soon as I got home from work. It seems to happen way too often, which is why i’m thankful that a video of a missed performance is always certain to appear the following day. The band performed a brand new song (new for television, that is) “While You Wait For The Others,” which made the rounds a few months ago from an in-studio performance on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic.

I never had a chance to post that song here, which I will be rectifying now, but it’s pretty much the exact same song as on the Conan performance. That being said, the song kills – especially that second half, where at one point Ed Droste breaks into that small moment of ‘oooooo-o-oooohh’ that just soothes my soul to no end. I swear, Grizzly Bear is simply the perfect medicine for any sleepless night. Oh yeah, they’re also opening for those Radiohead dudes on the second half of their U.S. tour.

    Valentine’s Day 2007.
They just played solo at a very small venue, but it was rad.
