Fantastic set! Thanks so much. I don’t know if it plunks your twanger, but I’ve always been partial to Grandaddy’s “Sumday,” a mid-2003 release. Thanks again for all the great music, in this post and all the time.

Ah, yes, Nina Persson, a vocalist I could never do without. I can’t wait for her new A Camp record this year. She’s been dusting off a few songs from her 2001 solo record in NYC and I was hoping her and Nathan Larson would land in Austin for SXSW, alas…

Yes, 2003 was a great year from music, oh, man. definitely thanks for the memories….

Yeah, that Cardigans record is soooo good. It almost feels like it could’ve easily been a Nina Persson solo release.

That M83 track is from 2004 I think, otherwise I would’ve included it. Lots of good stuff I left off, but the cut off point for me was 20. Glad everyone enjoyed the list though

Great list. I love that you included “For What Its Worth,” it’s from one of the most criminally underrated pop albums of that year. How about from 2003:
