As I was looking the new releases for this week, a thought happened to cross my mind: Are people more inclined to actually buying music if there isn’t an overabundance of albums to choose from week after week? Case in point, the release of British Sea Power’s Do You Like Rock Music? being the lone notable album out this week. It certainly works that way with movies, so it would be interesting to know if that rings true with music.

Regarding BSP’s album, it’s definitely a solid effort. This coming from a guy who’s never particularly liked them since hearing their debut in 2003. I’m not gonna suddenly jump ship and say I love the band now, but I think they’ve really garnered a lot of positive vibes with this record.

One release that really intrigues me this week is Bring Me Your Love, the second studio effort from City and Colour (Dallas Green of Alexisonfire). I actually found out about it through an advertisement on the blog of all places. You never know what you might find through those, I suppose (oho a rhyme!).
