After completely devouring the song “I’ll Kill Her” from French sweetheart Stéphanie Sokolinski (aka SoKo) in 2007, I just never got around to listening to anymore songs from her EP or anything else at all. I guess sometimes you hear a song and you’re just content with listening to it without any kind of nagging need to discover anything more. I think that could be considered a vague description of a one-hit wonder, unfortunately.
Well, i’ve finally listened to something new as I came across this cover of “Love No,” which is the next single off Reality Check from The Teenagers, a trio that have been mentioned here plenty of times on the blog (read Eric’s interview with them here). I’ve yet to hear the original track, but I absolutely love this cover. It’s so undeniably cute, to the point of being sick to your stomach (in a good way, if that’s possible). Are all her songs so bittersweet? Someone please give this girl a hug or something! Love it or hate it, it doesn’t hurt sometimes to hear a cute song every once in a while. Thanks to Discobelle for posting the MP3.

Personally, I think it’s quite amazing The Teenagers haven’t been ‘discovered’ commercially yet. This is a great band who are not only doing some fantastic re-mixes but have also delivered an almost flawless debut album.
