We jump from one French musician to yet another, as i’ve been digging this one track from Sébastien Tellier’s forthcoming album, Sexuality. The song “Divine” has been making the rounds in numerous blogs, and rightfully so; as this is an incredibly catchy song despite it’s cheesy electro-synths. I actually had it on repeat early this morning as I was jogging outside my apartment, and it certainly doesn’t detract at all from continuous play.
I’m still only vaguely familiar with Tellier’s catalogue, as the first and really only track i’ve heard outside of the new material is “La Ritournelle,” which is just an incredibly gorgeous track with a piano-laced melody. Definitely check that one out if you’re able to find it elsewhere, though I have a remix (not nearly as good) of it below that you can check out.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the new album Sexuality, as it’ll be released later this month on the 25th. Also, if you haven’t seen the cover art, there’s been a lot of discussion over it in regards to whether it’s horrible or not. I actually think it works pretty well in regards to the actual music itself, so i’m not really offended at all by it. You can see it for yourself if you click after the cut (NSFW).

I love this album, soo sensual and provocative. Its dripping with sexuality
i used to love Sebastien Tellier with the two previous records he made.
But here, with “sexuality” , we could call it “Impotence”.
