For many of us, Valentine’s Day isn’t exactly the easiest time to deal with. It’s the one time of the year where one can especially feel that sting of being lonely. For instance this morning, as I finished my small jog around the neighborhood, I sat on the couch without a thought whatsoever of what today was. Not until I got a phone call from my mother who than proceeded to ask right off the bat, “No sweetheart for you this year, PJ?” After that, I felt like my day had officially come to an end. But instead of sitting around all day sulking, a little time put into a blog post for today should do the trick.

No mixes from myself this year, as I think you can expect a few at some point today (Pablo’s is up right now). What I do have is a small clip from a dvd I bought earlier in the week, as Best Buy had a sale on pretty much every ‘romantic’ movie you could possibly think of. It’s called Paris, je t’aime and is comprised of a number of short films depicting small neighborhood romances within the city. A lot of them are hit or miss, but there are a few great pieces like the one i’m posting here that was directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run). It makes me smile everytime I watch it, so maybe it’ll do the same for you on this day.
