I forgot to mention this last month, but I was still on my little mini break at the time. If you’ve been keeping up with Moscow Olympics since they were first mentioned here on the site back in November, than you might’ve noticed that around Christmas time their first 7″ was finally released on Fraction Discs! If you happened to miss that previous post (read it!), not only is this quintet from the Phillippines, but they play some of the dreamiest shoegaze i’ve heard in years. It’s truly unreal how amazing this couple of songs i’ve heard are, and they have certainly become a band to keep an eye on in the future. Here’s a little description that Fraction Discs has on the single, just because you can see the love they have for this band:
Pop as a dream come true, two tracks that raise their gaze off their shoes, stare into the skies and fill the unexpected yet somehow eagerly awaited gap in your record collection – the one between Blueboy’s “Unisex” and The Wake’s “Here Comes Everybody”.
The 7″ single includes the jaw-droppingly amazing single “Still,” which can be heard on the band’s myspace, along with the b-side “Talk Like This.” Also included is a code that will allow you to download the songs in MP3 format! And after continuous searching, I finally found a mp3 of one of their songs. Seriously, it was difficult to find – so I hope you enjoy it!
