I think i’ve seen this commercial for the Microsoft Zune about 9 million times over the past couple of weeks, so I figured i’d post about it in case someone was wondering what the song was. The track is called “Lake Michigan” off the recently released album Asleep From Heaven’s Gate from the band Rogue Wave.
It actually works quite well with the commercial, though I would laugh at anyone who would try to give me a Zune – considering I love my Ipod. Though i’m not calling myself a machead by any stretch, because those Apple commercials? Sick and tired of them! It was funny at first, but really people – Apple is not that cool!

I saw this commercial last night, and I recognized the song but just could not place it.
I used to own an ipod and a year later I bought a zune. I loved my ipod but after trying the zune i got rid of the ipod. I have to say it is really nice that I can put all my songs, movies, pictures on it and listen to FM radio when I want. Plus it has wireless capabilities so you can share music with other zune owners and you can sync wirelessly to your computer. It’s awesom. I will never go back to an ipod.
It’s pretty much a must have, as it has over 1400 brands, plus the how’s and why’s of the collectible instrumental market (it also has amplifiers and related equipment). I spotted a stunning Vintage Bass Guitar in there recently!
