The Dodos are a band i’ve been listening to for the past month after discovering them through Hate Something Beautiful. And for those that find the name Dodo Bird familiar, than you probably know that these are the same people, just with a new name.
What struck me as so fascinating upon further research, is the fact that band consists of only two members. It’s a detail that never occurred to me from listening to their music at any point. I think you could chalk that up as a compliment to singer-songwriter Meric Long and drummer Logan Kroeber, as they play a very full sounding mix of bluegrass/pop.
In 2006, the duo self-released their first album Beware Of The Maniacs and will be releasing their next album titled Visiter, which will is due out early next year.
