On my previous post I mentioned how I first discovered the band through an old HBO program and how I forgot what the name was. Thanks to one of our readers for pointing out the name of the show, which was called Reverb. I was randomly searching the internet earlier tonight and actually found the performance from the show on YouTube. It was recorded from a performance at the Theater of the Living Arts in Philadelphia back in 2001.

You can see for yourself what makes this band so special. it’s little details like watching Jónsi sing, that can be so extremely powerful. Seeing the pain and emotion in his face and hearing those vocals. Watching his work with the guitar and cello bow is a treat in itself, hearing all these grand guitar sounds and background noises permeate from it. The entire band just brings full out emotion, they play loud and hard and it’s just an explosion of beautiful noise to get yourself completely lost in. No words can really explain it, as it’s something that has to be witness first hand yourself.
