This was actually posted by Stereogum a few days ago, but I never regularly visit that site – so i’m a bit late with posting this. I really wasn’t expecting to hear anything new so soon from the upcoming album, though it is close to the end of the year and Distortion is coming out in early January.
It’s amusing how something as simple as an instrumental intro or whatever this is could get me so excited. The only vocals throughout the entire song are the few shouts of it’s title and you know what? That’s enough for me. I’m anxious to find out how the rest of this album sounds, as it’s different from anything i’ve heard over the years from Stephin Merritt. It does feel like something you would expect from the Magnetic Fields though, right? I think it does.
