Yesterday I posted on a debut EP, and today I’ll do the same… just in a completely different style. House of Brothers is the acoustic incarnation of Andrew Jackson from across the pond (Nottingham, to be exact). In the style of Rocky Votolato, Elliott Smith, and Kings of Convenience, House of Brothers craft “quiet is the new loud” tunes that seem to fit in the genre without sounding too much like any of its influences. Anyone who likes any of the bands I mentioned will like the earnest vocals, fingerpicked guitars and string arrangements Jackson and company dish up. The debut EP, Deadman, will be coming out tomorrow via Big Scary Monsters Records in the UK. Enjoy!
