During one of my routine checks at the Cloudberry Records website, which is probably the only label site I check this often, I noticed they had a new 3″ from The Airfields, a 5-piece out of Toronto. I remember coming across the band a year ago as their Laneways EP was very well received on some of my favorite blogs Chromewaves and Skatterbrain just to name a few. For a short description, the band plays the kind of sweet, jangly indiepop that i’ve come to absolutely crave in true C86 fashion.
Their new single “Yr So Wonderful” starts off much differently from everything i’ve heard from Laneways, as it plays with noisy feedback/reverb but still has retains that pop charm that makes them so enjoyable.
