With Rock Band fast approaching it’s November 20th release date, I along with countless others have been awaiting the final track listing for the game. No matter how interesting all of the peripherals, downloadable content, etc. are – it all comes down to the quality of songs. Thankfully, IGN revealed the list for all to pick apart yesterday and while there are more than a few sour choices, there are still enough that make me extremely excited to finally have this in my possession. I’ve already acknowledged the great inclusions of Radiohead and the Pixies, but seeing The New Pornographers included in the 2000s gives me hope for the possibility of some quality indie albums to be offered as downloadable content in the near future.

To keep everyone up to date, the full package will cost $169.99 including game/guitar/mic/drum kit with downloadable albums/songs available after the very first week of release starting with Who’s Next by The Who. Another announcement that was made recently regarding the bundle, is that individual accessories will not be made available until 2008, so you’re stuck with having to pay the full $169.99. Sorry folks, that’s just how it’s gonna be.

What songs are you excited to see on this list? I’m not too thrilled to see junk like Fall Out Boy, but with such a mainstream game such as this, you really have no choice but to keep it varied. I still haven’t decided if i’m going to pick this up along with Guitar Hero III. Click the link below to see the entire track listing.
