I considered not posting any kind of Halloween mix this year because of the simple fact that it’s difficult to make it anymore unique from the previous year. There aren’t too many songs with “Halloween” themes and the only other alternative is choosing whatever song I can come across that has some spooky manifestation in it’s title. Most of these are from last year, but I thought about it and figured most wouldn’t remember the previous mix anyways. I guess that’s a nice thing for any musician to come up with a decent Halloween song, as it will be inshrined in future mixes like this foreverrrrr!

So what’s everyone going as for Halloween? I think i’ll be stuck here giving out candy to the kiddies, but if I were to dress up, I would’ve definitely ganked the group Team Fortress 2 idea if I knew enough like-minded individuals to try this out. Such an awesome idea and would be a great time I bet.  Maybe i’ll hit up a late night showing of the Nightmare Before Christmas that’s currently re-released in 3-D or whatever. Anyways, Happy Halloween everyone and have fun tonight!

Thanks for the bewitching mix. I’m working through it while handing out candy to spoiled – but cute – little spooks and characters. Happy Halloween!

I’ve only had 3 kids come to get candy tonight :(

I still have like $30 worth of candy. I think the next kid who comes, will end up getting all of my candy haha

Have you heard of the album “Freaks”, by Pulp? It was released in 1986, I believe, and it’s just plain bizarre. There are a few good spooky songs on there, such as “Being Followed Home” and “Fairground”. I also recommend Nina Simone’s “Pirate Jenny”, a Bertolt Brecht/Kurt Weill song. It’s amazing, and creepy as hell!
