I’ve mentioned Cloudberry Records several times here on the site only by name, but i’ve never really divulged any information about what it actually is. For anyone curious, it’s a tiny indiepop record label based out of Miami that only releases 3-inch CD-r’s. Each of these releases consist of only 100 hand-numbered copies.
What I love about them is the fact that i’m always discovering something new and fascinating to listen to when I visit their website. It’s hard to resist from buying these, as they’re like little presents containing some sort of unknown pop goodness that you can’t find anywhere else. Seriously, it’s only $5 for any of these items, that also takes care of shipping no matter where you happen to order from.
I’ve only known about the site for a couple of months, so if any new releases happen to be worth talking about, you will definitely hear about them here. Here’s a small sampling of some of the artists that have released material on Cloudberry. This is simply just great, jangly indiepop randomly chosen right off the top of the list. So, so good.
“Second Song” | Hari and Aino
“The Way You Brush Your Hair” | Apple Orchard
“When The Leaf is Not Green” | Astrolab
“Hope, You Know” | Celestial
“Discotheque” | Summer Cats

that is fascinating. I live in Miami and have never heard of Cloudberry Records. The sound is not typically what you hear in this area (reggaeton, etc., etc). I’ll have to check out more.
