Beach House Set To Release Sophomore Effort: Devotion
Posted by PJ in The Yellow Stereo, Upcoming
One of my favorite discoveries of last year were Baltimore chamber-pop duo Beach House and their wonderful self-titled debut. To my surprise, they’re currently in the midst of finishing production on their sophomore effort, which will be titled Devotion. The album is set to be released next year on February 26 via Carpark Records. P4k has the tracklisting (already!?) which includes three more tracks compared to the eight off the previous album. Still, that’s nearly five months away and i’ll probably forget about this in the near future, but 2008 just can’t come soon enough.

In other news……

In hasty fashion, remixes are already starting to emerge for Radiohead’s newest record. I Guess I’m Floating posted the first in what i’m sure is to be the tip of the iceberg of remixes. The following is from dance producer Mojib who remixed “Videotape” the last track off In Rainbows. I think at this moment i’m open to hearing some of these, but i’m sure i’ll get sick of it all soon enough.
