Its time to thrown down cardboard boxes and click the play button on your boombox, and walk around the streets of (Insert your locality here). Its the sophomore version of The Wednesday Rewind.
First on our BASF mixed tape we go “rickrolling” with Rick Astley. When I pop on a Rick Astley song I always ask myself, why does this guy sound like a black man (tell me if I am wrong). I must say though the song is so catchy.
Next up, I bring you another Brit by the name of Roderick Stewart, better know at Rod the Bod. This is probably my favorite song of Rod’s, and is featured in GTA San Andreas. I love running around playing the game to this song.
Third base brings us to Rockwell, and his fear of people watching him. Funny thing about this track is that Michael Jackson sings the chorus. Next up I throw down some Billy Squier and “Rock Me Tonite.” Check the video for this song out right here. Many people questioned Squier’s sexuality after this video, and many also claim it ruined his career. I actually cringe while watching this, It just looks that awkward. While we are on the video bandwagon, the last track I spin is Journey’s “Seperate Ways”. This video is horrifically great, so be sure to spend the time watching it here.

I’m a little taken aback by how incredibly fun it was taking this trip down memory lane. What can I say, I guess even tho I read hip indie music blogs nowadays my college-years music roots run deep…
that’s some good yaught rock. i will play those songs when i buy a yaught and say things like “THOSE WERE THE DAYS, WERENT THEY, JOYCE?” *chuckle chuckle* “Pass the scotch.”
My iPod thanks you for this tremendous mix, now to buy GTA San Andreas…
I love you so much right now.
I’m both proud and embarrassed to admit I own all but the Journey tracks.
