Well, Band of Horses have graced us with a track off their upcoming album, Cease to Begin. If this is any indication, the epic indie rocking doth continue, and continue well. The album drops October 9 (same day as the new Jens!) via Sub Pop Records. Now all I need is for them to tour with Built to Spill so I can have the ultimate night of massive guitar indie. Enjoy!

I’m glad you posted this because I saw it mentioned a few places but didn’t bother to check it out. Probably wouldn’t have listened to it till after a few weeks. Sounds really good and about what I would expect from Band of Horses.
Sound great, but a bit the same like their past records, i guess the sophomore album won’t be very innovative, but still very good.
Tibi, that sounds pretty accurate… but I’m not too worried about it, since their debut wasn’t blazing any new paths either.
i’m glad you posted this too. This band had kinda dropped off my radar recently after I lost my entire music library when my hard drive crashed a few months ago. This just reminded me how much i liked their first album, so i’mma go grab it again =)

They opened the two shows I saw recently (one at McCarren Pool and one at 9:30 Club) with this song and – it’s beautiful. Can’t accuse Ben Bridwell of being much of a lyrical giant here…but it hits the spot. I approve.
