The 2007 Mercury Music Prize Shortlist Announced

The shortlist for this year’s Mercury Prize have been announced, and each year I seem to be less interested than before. I used to be really excited to see the nominations, as I was completely in love with everything coming out of the UK. It would be an easy way to discover some amazing music. There are a few albums that stand out from this list that would be my personal choice to nap the top honor with Bats For Lashes, Fionn Regan, NYPC and Maps. It also looks like Artic Monkeys are on the list for a second year in a row.
