Well, after going MIA for a few weeks (working at a bookstore during Pottermania hasn’t helped), I’ve found something exciting enough to get me to post- the new Jens Lekman track from his upcoming album Night Falls Over Kortadela. (The P-fork has a nice little post with the tracklisting here.) But on to what you really want- the first single, “Friday Night At The Drive-In Bingo.” It’s a marvelous little song that, to me, continues the direction of tracks like “A Sweet Summer’s Night on Hammer Hill.” The instrumentation is smooth and old-school in all the right ways, and I think Lekman’s voice is growing stronger (maybe it’s from the confidence of having both critics and fans fall in love with you). One listen and my face was smiling and my brain was repeating the chorus and instrumental melodies all day at work… Enjoy!

I love this song. and yeah i agree how that instrumental will bury its way into my mind today.
I love me some Jens, thanks for posting this Pablo. I noticed it around a couple blogs but it didn’t register in my mind that it was a new song haha.
