First off I have to say that as exciting as it is to be posting these Björk tour dates, skimming through google for images of the Icelandic singer-songwriter was enjoyable to say the least. So much bizarre imagery, sometimes beautiful, of her many incarnations over the years.

I am overjoyed at the moment to see that during her upcoming shows through North America, she will be stopping in Atlanta on on September 19th at The Fox Theatre. I honestly don’t remember the last time she visited Atlanta nor the southeast in general. If anyone could fill me in with those details that would be great. I’ve never had the opportunity to see her in person, so I will be making every effort to attend. Her shows seem to be quite the experience, as I watched a streamed performance of hers during Coachella

Let’s hope that hell continues to freeze over and that another lady (pointing at you Polly Jean Harvey) decides to tour the southeast this year or in my lifetime.

i saw her play in Atlanta at the Masquerade back in 1995 on the Post tour. It was a great show, I think the only time she has played here. Of course her band and sound will be very different now. Aphex Twin opened, his set was him dressed in a bunny suit laying down stage triggering samples. I found a review of the show that gives a little more detail:
