Slim pickings this week on the Daily Graboid, mostly due in part to the Memorial Day weekend, but there are a few albums worth checking out. Pablo posted earlier in the week on the Swedish pop duo the Moonbabies and their incredibly catchy album At the Ballroom, I was so smitten by their sound just from two tracks he posted that I ended up having to check it out for myself. It’s a solid pop record, and you can stream all of it on their website.

Outside of that I really haven’t given much time to many of the other releases, though a few tracks from Piano Magic’s Part Monster have managed to catch my attention. I also remember receiving Je Suis France’s Afrikan Majik a while back, and I remember that I couldn’t even finish listening to it because some of the tracks were so long and drawn out. Simply, just boring for the most part. The free downloadable tracks from the album are decent though and highlight what the band could have been capable of if they took that direction throughout. Anything else worth looking at this week that I may have missed?
