If you noticed the site being suspended early yesterday morning, I apologize for that as once again Midphase decided to bring the hammer down on us once again. It’s almost become routine and I can’t go a month without seeing the site get suspended for some ridiculous reason. To get the site back up I had to go through and delete all the mp3s that had been uploaded from the past couple of months. I feel terrible doing that, but it had to be done. I’d like to look to a seperate place for file hosting, so once I get some spare cash i’ll go ahead and do that. In the meantime, just bear with me and be patient.

The week’s Graboid, a day late because of the hosting nonsense, contains some excellent releases and one in particular that i’ve anticipating for months. Obviously, that album is Release the Stars, the fifth album from Rufus Wainwright. It’s excellent in my opinion and just as over-the-top as his previous work despite reports of it initially starting out as a completely stripped-down record. Definitely pick this one up if you decide to buy anything this week.

Two albums i’d also recommend are Au Revoir Simone’s The Bird Of Music and YACHT’s I Believe In You. Your Magic Is Real. I mentioned The Bird Of Music back in January, so it’s nice to finally see this one get released. If you like some good ol’ female-fronted twee, than this is the album for you. I haven’t covered YACHT on the blog yet, despite the fact that i’ve been listening to this for months. If you’re not familiar, YACHT is Jona Bechtolt – who is also one half of The Blow.

Check out the rest of these releases, and hopefully you find something you like. Let’s see what else i’m forgetting….oh a new Wilco album. I still haven’t listened to it yet, so I really have no opinion on it.

  1. “Bare” with me = to expose oneself.
“Bear” with me = to endure a burden together.

Just thought you might want to know!
    Thanks for all your blogging!

I don’t think I can post anything without someone pointing out my spelling mistakes.

Hey, I can probably host a certain number of mp3s for you if you like. My host has been pretty kind to me for the past few years, although I’ve never had the kind of traffic you probably get. But I’d be happy to help.

The Utah and Yacht ones are everywhere. Probably save yourself a fortune – and a load of heartbreak – just linking to one of the zillions of Blogs already hosting them?

‘Himmelbjerget’ means ‘(the) heaven mountain’. It’s in Silkeborg, not too far from where I live (Århus).

it’s not bandwidth issues, but more some excuse my hosting service comes up with that mentions me taking up a majority of the server’s ram. It’s crap really.

  6. Rich says:

RAM? Really? Maybe they should upgrade… they could probably dig enough cash to do so out of the company sofa.

  7. PJ says:

    “Hello,

We had to suspend the account with theyellowstereo.com due to high CPU and RAM usage.
Currently the web site is using about 17.22% of RAM.
Our limits are 10% of each resource.

Unfortunately we can’t afford to host so large account on a shared server it
    affects other accounts.
I strongly recommend you to consider upgrade to a dedicated or VPS server or
    limit your downloads.”

Yeah, it doesn’t make sense. I’m getting tired of it though honestly.
