Rufus Wainwright | Live at the Fillmore 3/04
Posted by PJ in Concerts, The Yellow Stereo
After the recent announcement of Rufus Wainwright tour dates, I sort of went into a frenzy of gathering up any kind of live performances that I could find. I remembered that I had the Live at the Fillmore performance that was included as a bonus disc on the Want Two album that was released in 2004. I’ve always wanted to have a ripped audio copy of this to listen at work or wherever, but I had never found one until yesterday. It’s a brilliant performance if you’ve happened to watch the dvd for yourself, as it included two or three songs that were never included on any of his full-length albums. Of course, I would share this with all of you.
He also recently performed on Letterman (with lederhosen!), and I found the video for that on YouTube. You can also read a little more about what his current projects are at the KEXP Blog, which include penning Premadonna, an original opera written in French, along with listening to a live version of “Going To A Town” off Release the Stars that Rufus performed on KEXP.

Thx for these.
By the way, there’s a like Neko set (Peel Session, actually) from 2000 on That Truncheon Thing right now.
Thank you so much! I have the DVD, but my homemade DVD rips of this have been maddeningly unsuccessful.
Where they gone?
