It occured to me late last night that maybe I should start doing the Graboid on Tuesdays. The only reason I had been doing it on Wednesday for so long was the simple fact that I am lazy and liked having the extra day to listen to all the new releases. Considerng Tuesdays are the album release days, I think it’s best to move it to that. What do you all of you think? Does it even matter? Let me know. If it’s overwhelming, than i’ll change it.
This week’s list of releases contained many albums I haven’t heard before, so I did some digging around to see if there was anything interesting. You have big names like Nine Inch Nails, but don’t expect any mp3s from me. Other than that, i’ve covered Elk City’s New Believers previously, and I can definitely recommend that. There’s a new b-sides and rarities compilation from Superdrag out as well, you can read more about that here. Finally, one other interesting release is Bridging the Distance: A Portland, Oregon Covers Compilation, a covers album where the proceeds will go to benefit p:ear. Can read more about that here.
[Listen] I mentioned last week that I was interviewed to be featured on this week’s episode of Blog Fresh Radio. It’s up and head over there to listen to me sound like a complete moron. I hate listening to my own voice, and I had my jacket over my head the entire time I was listening. I have a little southern twang, and I try my best to disguise it. If you’re not familiar with the site, basically the host Alex gathers different bloggers to discuss what music they’re currently listening to. It’s a nice little show and you can hear some good music every week. I’ll be on there again in a couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for that.

There really is something fantastic about that Elk City artwork, despite there being pretty much nothing to it, really.
