Lots of great releases this week as a lot of these are some of my favorites of the year so far. A few that I can definitely recommend starts with The Rosebud’s third album Night of The Furies, which is simply a great pop record from top to bottom. In fact, I was actually interviewed today on Blog Fresh Radio and this was the album I talked about for a couple of minutes. I’ll let you know when that is up so you can listen to me sound like an idiot who had a wee bit too much caffeine beforehand. Also not to be ignored are Blonde Redhead’s 23, CocoRosie’s The Adventures of Ghosthorse & Stillborn and Laura Veirs’ Saltbreakers which I just started listening to tonight and it’s excellent.

Some other releases I didn’t know about until I started digging around are Client’s Heartland, which if u’re into electro-pop similar to that of Goldfrapp than you will probably enjoy this. Love of Diagrams, who I saw open for Ted Leo a couple of weeks ago, have released their debut Mosaic this week as well. Finally, a Matador reissue of Shearwater’s Palo Santo, one of my favorite albums of 2006, contains five re-recorded tracks and a bonus cd of eight additional unreleased tracks. That my friends is a steal and something you should definitely look at. What are you picking up this week? If there is anything I happened to leave off, please suggest it.
