I guess I’ll warn you now: this post isn’t about music.

Looking for something to do on a boring Friday night? Luckily for you, Mike Nelson and friends, best known for their work on cult classic TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, have decided to keep making fun of bad and/or nerdy movies. The result is Rifftrax, a site where you can buy and download hilarious running commentary of films ranging from the horrendous Battlefield Earth and Reign of Fire to new favorites like the Matrix and the Fellowship of the Ring. My roommates and I have been watching a bunch of these over the last couple of months, and they’ve all been up to par with the best MST3K stuff. Unlike MST3K, though, the Rifftrax is just an audio file that synchs up while you play at the same time as watching the DVD of the movie, and cost 2 or 3 bucks. Anyone looking for a good laugh, or anyone who loves MST3K, would do themselves a favor to check this out. Samples for a bunch of the movies can be checked out here. I’ve loved it, so I figured I pass it on… Enjoy!

Feel free to post about anything other than music on here. I’m starting to think up other posts just to add a little variety. I get sick of talking about music sometimes as well.

Psst. You forgot the “http://” in front of the rifftrax URL.

    Thanks… I fixed the link.

This weekend we watched Daredevil and the Grudge with Rifftrax and both were hilarious, but of the two I’d say Daredevil was funnier… the newer the Rifftrax, the better, usually.
