Well, I’m back, finally. After spending quite a while computerless, I finally have one, so I’ll be posting regularly again.
Although this album came out near the end of last year, I think it’s slipped undr the radar, so I present to you the indie rock/pop sounds of Michigan’s The Silent Years. While listening to their music I always get the feeling that they remind me of someone, but noone ever comes to mind, which to me means they’ve just synthesized the art of the mellow indie pop song well enough that they can enter the scene without being clones of someone else. So far I’ve only heard the tunes up on a few blogs and on their myspace, but the Silent Years’ self-titled debut is already next up on my eMusic downloads that I’ll get later this month. Here’s a few tracks for y’all- enjoy!\
From The Silent Years
The Silent Years – “Someone to Keep Us Warm”
The Silent Years – “Someday”
The Silent Years – “Sharks”
P.S. Sorry about the double-spacing… still can’t figure out how to make wordpress not doublespace these posts!
