I’ve been listening to these tracks from Field Music’s upcoming release, Tones of Town, for a couple of weeks now and they’ve managed to find continuous repeats when i’m sitting around listening to music. I’m especially digging “Give It Lost It Take It” as it has a catchy guitar riff and some nice vocal harmonies to go along with just being an overall decent pop song. I’m waiting in the mail for a promo copy so i’ll just have to keep you in the loop about how the entire album sounds. These two tracks though, give me feeling that I won’t be disappointed with it at all.
This trio from Sunderland, England, includes songwriting brothers Peter and David Brewis along with keyboardist Andrew Moore. The album will be released in the UK on January 22nd with a US release following shortly on February 22nd. It’ll also be released on the Memphis Industries label, which if you’re not familiar is home to some of my favorites like The Pipettes, El Perro Del Mar, The Go! Team and Tokyo Police Club. Definitely keep your eye out for this one, but really I wouldn’t post about it if I didn’t think it was worth looking forward to in the first place.
