With all the stress of looking for a new hosting provider behind me, I figured i’d post these little Halloween goodies that had been littered in my email. At first, I was only going to post these few songs I had but today ended up being extremely boring. So much in fact, that I decided to go ahead and make a Halloween mix to post here. I think Andy is making one as well, and his will probably be much more thought out and creative. So whether you’re giving out candy (like me) on Halloween or out partying, listen to some of these to maybe make your night a little more enjoyable.
A lot of these songs chosen probably aren’t as related to the theme as some would think, but I went with a lot of them that had sort of a dark atmosphere. These songs aren’t scary or spine-tingling nor do they have to be in my opinion. If anything, haunting would be a good word to describe a lot of these. These set a certain spooky and mysterious mood, but a lot of these are fun too. I’ve never been a big fan of Halloween but, it doesn’t hurt to put something like this together. I remember the last time I actually dressed up for Halloween I went as Iron Chef Sakai. It almost turned out to be a great costume but my chef’s coat ended up turning pink instead of red when I applied dyes. I also ended up looking more like some guy that worked at Shogun than an actual Iron Chef. Pretty lame I know! Have any Halloween stories you’d like to share? Anyways, hope you enjoy this mix.

Blue Oyster Cult.
Classic.
I appreciate the trip-hop presence there, nice mix. Check out my blog for some live Massive Attack and Portishead, if inclined.
Keep up the good work.
Great selection.
Last year’s best costume…Pre-teen comes to the door wearing bloody scrubs carrying a fake knife. She said she was “An HMO Doctor.”
Wow! Nice mix! I esp. like Sia’s take on Radiohead’s “Paranoid Android.” I didn’t think anyone could have made it any more creepy than the original.
Yeah, the first time I heard that cover it totally blew my mind. Haunting and amazing. I just had to include it here.
