I think compiling The Daily Graboid every week is probably my favorite thing to do on this blog. Every week I usually manage to always find a couple of albums from artists I had no previous knowledge of. If there’s one thing I try to do here, it’s that i’m always looking for something new and this is just one of the many ways I come in contact with a lot of new music outside of reading blogs, websites and such.
Like I said on the previous week, this has been an incredible month for new releases. This week is no exception as there is a healthy dose of good music to digest. A couple of albums worth mentioning right off the bat are Ben Kweller’s third self-titled album, Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s The Letting Go, The Whitest Boy Alive’s Dreams and the U.S. release (finally) of The Cardigan’s Super Extra Gravity that was originally released in 2005. Those aren’t the only albums out this week but those are the ones that I can confidently recommend to people. Check out these other releases too, maybe you’ll find something new just like me. What are some releases you were looking forward to? Was there anything I may have missed? Feel free to comment and let me know!
