Just Pretend Summer Isn’t Ending – A Pablo Diablo Mix
Posted by Pablo in The Yellow StereoWell, school started for me this week, and it’s kind of sad. Summer is ending, and soon it will get cold and all that jazz… Luckily we still have summery music. So, here it is, a marvellously hand-picked, hand-ordered mix of some summery music to keep y’all going. Some are indie blog concensus picks, like Beirut’s “Postcards from Italy.” Others are from upcoming releases, like the selections from the Rapture, Decemberists, and Hold Steady. Mr. Loco’s “Religious Man” was the theme song to Nacho Libre, and “Noah’s Arkestra” is by Australian DJ Mountains in the Sky and was on an NBA Playoffs Commerical. Most of it is from this year, and all of it is summery in some way. I even made some quick (aka crappy) album art by stealing the image of one my favorite Roy Lichtenstein paintings… Enjoy!

I think you need to add The Sundays- “Summertime”… that would be sweet… although it’s just a suggestion… your Lichenstein stealing cover is hilarious… if you want to team up to do a ‘fall mix’ in a month or two get at me… you can guest post at my blog (I would be honoured) and I at yours.. think about it… good mix though…
