I have been reading a lot of hype about how people are excited about Ratatat’s sophomore album Classics. The album has been on repeat on my ipod the past two weeks and I must say…believe the hype. My mind was sufficiently blown when I first heard Gettysburg, which I believe is the best song on the album. The duo certainly flexed their versatility muscles when they chose to make an album that tackled various genres in music history within an electronic framework. And the best part of it all is that they’re coming to the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor! (if you’re confused as to why that’s such a good thing, refer to my little grumble with the Ann Arbor music scene). Now I just need some concert buddies…

I’ve seen a lot of tour schedules that run through Ann Arbor, I think you’ll be ok honestly.
